the way we worship

The following scriptures are the basis for our form of worship. If you have any questions concerning these, please feel free to contact Pastor Kim.
Why do we stand when we sing?
"The Levites (both Kohathites and Korahites) stood to their feet to praise God, the God of Israel; they praised at the top of their lungs!"  (II Chronicles 20:19 The Message)
Why do we clap our hands?
"Come, everyone, and clap for joy! Shout triumphant praises to the Lord!"
(Psalm 47:1 The Living Bible)
Why do we lift our hands?
"I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you."
(Psalm 53:4 The Message)
Why do we have audible praise unto God?
"I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with His praise."
(Psalm 34:1 The Message)
"Sing praises to God, sing praises." (Psalm 47:6 New International Version)
Why do we have this type of worship?
"It's who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That's the kind of people the Father is out looking for; those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship."
(John 4:23 The Message)
What is prophecy?
"But one who prophesies, preaching the messages of God, is helping others grow in the Lord, encouraging and comforting them." (I Corinthians 14:3 The Living Bible)
Why do we have speaking with tongues and interpretation of those tongues?
"When you speak forth God's truth, speak your heart out. Don't tell people how they should or shouldn't pray when they're praying in tongues that you don't understand."
(I Corinthians 14:3 The Message)
"All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful:...tongues and interpretation of tongues." (I Corinthians 12:7&10 The Message)
Why does the whole church pray at once for specific needs?
"Hearing the report, they lifted their voices in a wonderful harmony in prayer."
(Acts 4:24a  The Message)
Why do we anoint with oil and pray for the sick?
"Are you sick? Call the church leaders together to pray and anoint you with oil in the name of the Master. Believing-prayer will heal you, and Jesus will put you on your feet. And if you've sinned, you'll be forgiven-healed inside and out." (James 5:14-15 The Message)
